Tremor Video Expands Partnership with Moat to Measure Mobile In-App Viewability and Attention

Mon, May. 02, 2016 | By: Tremor Video

Tremor Video, Inc. (NYSE: TRMR), a provider of software for video ad effectiveness, today announced an expansion of its partnership with Moat, an independent SaaS marketing analytics firm focused on transforming online brand advertising through trusted measurement and analytics.

The expanded partnership now enables Tremor Video clients to optimize campaigns with Moat’s Media Rating Council (MRC)-accredited metrics across mobile devices and apps. This includes viewability according to the MRC definition of a viewable impression in mobile as well as certain agency defined viewability metrics. While others take a pre-bid or post-buy approach to viewability optimization, Tremor Video’s buyer platform evaluates each impression in real time for smarter decision-making and top performance.

“As mobile consumption continues to grow, it is imperative that we are able to measure brand effectiveness across all screens,” said Katie Evans, SVP, Operations and Sales Strategy. “Our expanded real-time integration of Moat’s technology gives marketers a more complete picture of how their campaigns are performing across desktop and mobile. When paired with our All-screen product, we offer a unique solution that allows marketers to optimize to Moat viewability and attention metrics in real-time through a single placement.”

Moat became the first company to be accredited by the MRC for viewability on mobile web and in-app in October 2015 and provides viewability and related attention metrics across display, video, and mobile.

“We are very excited about the Tremor Video and Moat partnership and being able to provide our MRC accredited in-app viewability and audience attention measurement and insights for clients. We believe viewability is the new starting point for brands in digital that ultimately helps provide the confidence they need to invest more dollars online,” said Jonah Goodhart, Moat CEO/Co-Founder.

Moat viewability and attention metrics are available to Tremor Video’s clients globally. Clients can now choose to optimize for Moat’s metrics as a key performance indicator on campaigns that include mobile app buys in addition to desktop and mobile web.
