It's no surprise that consumers can't leave home without their devices. Even when traveling, consumers are connecting across devices and watching video.
While in transit, the majority of consumers are accessing the Internet. Connecting is highest during airplane and bus travel.
And while they're in transit, consumers say that they watch video across the devices they take with them. Smartphones, which are always on and always connected, are the most commonly used device to watch online video while consumers are in transit.Although consumers engage in a number of online activities — checking email, engaging on social media, and playing games — they are also watching a mix of long-form, short-form, and downloaded videos.
When they've reached their final travel destination, they turn to consumer-generated videos to help them figure out where to go and what to do.
