Consumers are watching video across screens for travel inspiration.
Video is a transportive medium. We've heard from our panel that they watch video across screens to learn about new and enticing travel locations. While the computer is the most commonly used device to watch videos on travel destinations, over half of consumers are watching videos on their mobile devices.
Another interesting insight is that on larger screens — computers and connected TVs — consumers are most likely to watch professionally made videos, like online video ads. On mobile devices, they're most likely to watch consumer-generated video content.
When it comes to selecting how they'll book travel, consumers again watch videos across devices. They most commonly cite online video ads as the best way for them to learn how to book.
